Your plants need CO2 as a building block for cell growth. It is one of the most fundamental requirements that your plant has along with light and nutrient. CO2 occurs naturally at a level of approx. 350 ppm. This system allows the background level in your room to be raised to around 1100 ppm. Above this level the there is no real benefit, but up to this point the artificial increase is beneficial and the plants grow bigger, faster and stronger as a result.
This fantastically simple and reliable system was developed by Ecotechnics some years ago and is still the reference model for CO2 systems on the market today.
This kit comprises every thing you need except the CO2 bottle (see yellow pages ofr a local supplier).
1. Attach the regulator to the souce bottle.
2. Run the CO2 tube to your room
3. Set the room size on the timer
4. Turn it on
TOP TIP:
Grow at night if you do not have CO2. The flora and fauna that grow in nature have all gone to sleep outside and the background CO2 level naturally rises. Therefore benefitting your plants for free!
Growing at night means that you have lower ambient temperatures to deal with in your room as well, making oveheating easier to deal with.
