If you remove the ballast and control gear from your grow room, the only remaining source of heat is the lamp. By ventilating the air across the light you reduce the heat going in to your room at source and therefore reduce the need for increased ventilation in the room itself! This saves money, improves the plants environment and prolongs equipment lifespan. There are no downsides!

All you need to start illuminating your grow room and start producing high yields. This sytem comes with the added benefit of air cooling.

Each Hobby System comes with a Maxibright ballast (compact or Megalight depending on availability), a cooltube reflector, 3m of cable, a kettle plug and 250w Sylvanian Growlux lamp.

Simple to assemble and simple to use, this system is all you need to start growing or use as a budget mother plant system.

The lamp is suitable for Growth AND Bloom periods.

This system will require a 125mm (5") fan, ducting and clips to complete it (not supplied).

Also consider a heat sheild as the system detailed will not remove the hotspot caused by the lamp. Heat sheilds reduce the distance to the plants by as much as 33% and therefore increase yield!
